NB: All Curlicue NZ Jewellery items are hand made by me at my home in Auckland, New Zealand and those items that are reproducible will still vary slightly in size, colour and pattern to those visible in the online store (unless it is a OOAK that is shown as ready to ship). Therefore please keep in mind that some small imperfections may be present – this is not seen as a fault.
Order Timeline:
All Curlicue NZ products are personally handcrafted within 2-7 business days after payment has been received.
I (generally) don’t work on weekends, as this is family time. If an order comes in after midday (NZT) on a Friday, I will not be able to start making it until the following Monday – assuming your payment has cleared by then.
Sometimes, orders can be created faster – but I can’t guarantee a faster processing time.
If for some reason your order can’t be completed within 5 working days, I will contact you to let you know.
I make every single piece myself, by hand, from individual materials – you are not getting a factory-made piece.
Made to Order vs. Pre-Made
Check a listing carefully to see if a product is pre-made and ready to ship, or if the product is made to order.
Both are handmade but the pre-made is a piece that I have already created and it is shipment ready, while the made-to-order products take 2-7 business days to be created especially for you.
[Most items are Made to Order. Generally, only the completely unique, one-of-a-kind items are ready to ship, but occasionally I have additional stock that has been made up in advance.]
Look for the following image if an item is pre-made:

Ordering, Payment & Security:
My checkout is safe, easy to use and very secure. Your payment will be processed securely and Curlicue NZ Jewellery will never be in possession of your card details.
You can make your payment through Stripe or WooPayments using a credit card, PayPal using a debit or credit card – you don’t need accounts to pay this way.
If you live in New Zealand, you can also pay via Direct Debit or online banking.
You can also read my full Privacy Policies.

Within New Zealand:
Shipping is FREE for all orders within New Zealand!
All orders within NZ will take 2-7 business days to process (in order for me to handcraft your jewellery) and then sent by courier NZ Post.
NZ Delivery Targets:
Delivery is usually 1-3 days within the North Island, or within 2-5 days for the South Island.
Rural Delivery can take an extra 2-3 working days.
A signature is normally not required, unless the item has been custom-made.
There is now an additional surcharge of $5 for deliveries to rural addresses, as it is normally double the cost.
Where’s My Order? (NZ)
If your package has not arrived within 1 week, please contact me.
You may also need to check your neighbours and around your property in case the courier has left it somewhere they considered to be ‘safe’.
International Shipping:
International Shipping costs vary by country. You can see your full shipping cost in the cart prior to checkout.
Although I would happily support and love my international customers, due to various tariffs, custom duties and regulations, the countries that I can ship to are increasingly reduced!
- Due to the tariff’s imposed by the Trump administration to all items – no matter what value – from New Zealand, I will unfortunately have to stop selling to the USA from all my shops.
- Due to the UK customs law changes, I can no longer sell to the UK from this website. However you can still purchase items through my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/nz/shop/CurlicueNZ
- Due to the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) I can no longer sell to any countries in Europe.
If you reside within the EU or UK and would still really like to buy from me, you can contact me to discuss options.
Please remember that all my products are created and sent from New Zealand (located to the south-east of Australia), so it might take a little longer to get to you.
Also, occasionally NZ Post experiences international postage delays – I will let you know if this is the case when I correspond with you.
Shipping costs are calculated automatically during checkout, depending on where your item is to be delivered. You can order and pay for an item from overseas and have it delivered here within New Zealand or vice versa.
The countries I can currently ship to (outside of New Zealand) are:
- New Zealand
- Australia
- Canada
- Japan
- Singapore
Where’s My Order (International)?
I am shipping from New Zealand. Packages to the rest of the world may take up to 2-3 weeks to arrive.
If your package does not turn up within the expected timeframe, please contact me and I will do my best to rectify the situation!
However, please be aware that I don’t consider a parcel ‘lost’ in the post until it has been a full 30 days from the date of shipping, and I will not replace an item sooner than this.

Sending Gifts Direct
I’m more than happy to ship your order directly to your gift recipient.
If you have chosen the Premium Gift Wrap service, your gift will be wrapped and placed within a small kete (woven flax bag) along with your chosen gift card – inside which I will hand-write your personal message.
If Premium Gift Wrap is not chosen, I can also include a small free gift tag (To/ From) so your recipient knows who the gift is from.
You can enter a different delivery name and address to your billing details at checkout. Then indicate that this is a gift being sent directly to the recipient upon checkout.
Each jewellery piece you order will come in its own lovely Curlicue NZ Jewellery gift box. These boxes are made from a card base and a (recyclable) PVC lid. Care instructions are included in each gift box. You can find out more about Curlicue NZ’s Jewellery Packaging here.
Invoices or receipts are never included with any of my orders to save on paper waste, so there is no risk of your gift recipient seeing the price.

Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Goods
I do my very best to try and avoid these problems – and they are very rare – but if the items you purchased are damaged, faulty or I’ve made an error, please refer to the returns and exchanges page for details.
I will work with you to sort out any issues with your order, as it is my highest priority for you to be completely happy!

Customs & Import Duties
If your order will be sent outside of New Zealand, it may be subject to local customs and import duties. These are applied at the entry point to your country.
This is beyond my control and I am not able to provide advice as to what the situation is in your country, as each one is different, and the rules can – and do – change.
I cannot accept responsibility for any customs issues, costs or refusals.
If you are concerned about your country’s customs laws, please investigate before purchase.
If a package comes back to me from customs in the original condition, I will of course refund your money.

Jewellery or Jewelry?
The answer depends on your location and preference – it’s just different spelling of the same word. Here in New Zealand we spell it ‘jewellery’ so that is what you will see on this website.
Either way, Curlicue NZ has the most original handmade eco jewelry or jewellery to wear every day or to a special event. Check out my reviews to see why people love my handmade womens jewellery, since 2013.
You can buy modern sustainable fine silver jewellery online in my shop, or you can contact me for information about custom made jewellery designs, heirloom up-cycling using gemstone beads, or jewellery repairs.
