On the shopping cart page check your order and fill in the gift and special instruction details if needed. You can also get an estimate of the shipping costs for your location before proceeding (shipping is FREE in New Zealand) or how much left you need to spend to get free shipping in your country.

When you click to continue checkout you’ll be taken to a secure PayPal checkout page. You’ll be able to select your payment method and enter a discount code if you have one, along with entering your delivery address (which will finalise your shipping costs).

This is where you can send a gift directly to your recipient. Simply fill in the address details for where you want the gift to be sent. Before making payment you’ll  be given the total cost of your order. You can choose not to proceed with your order at any point prior to completing your payment.

Generally your order will be sent within 1-3 business days once payment is received, this enables me to create your product. Learn more about shipping.

When checking out you can choose to make payment securely through:

  • Direct Debit – if you’re in New Zealand, or
  • Cash on pick up – if you’re located in Auckland and happy to pick up from me. 😊

Different types of payments are accepted through PayPal. You don’t need an account to pay via PayPal, you can still pay using a debit or credit card.

You can choose not to proceed with your order at any point up until you finalise payment.

If your payment will be delayed for any reason, please get in touch!

Custom Made Orders:

I will discuss what you want with you (via email), and then I will email you a Customer Work Agreement, which details the customised jewellery design and quotes the cost of the items to be made.

This document protects both of us – you the purchaser, as well as myself the designer and creator, so we both need to agree on the terms.

Payment for Custom Made Orders must be received BEFORE I start to work on the project, especially if additional supplies are needed to complete the item(s).

Alterations to Custom Orders:

Necklaces and bracelets that do not fit can be altered at no extra cost. Different styles of earring hook or necklace clasp can be replaced at no extra cost.

While custom re-sizing for fit (for necklaces and bracelets) is included within the quoted price of a Custom Made Order, re-working the design – or changing any of the design elements, will incur additional charges for materials and my time.

In all instances when jewellery needs to be altered or repaired, the postage costs will need to be covered by the customer – except in the unlikely event, that the item arrives in a damaged condition. In this case, postage costs will be covered by Curlicue NZ Jewellery, upon receipt of visual proof (photos).

Alterations to Curlicue NZ or other Jewellery:

Ring Purchases:

Many of my rings cannot be re-sized. Therefore, you MUST check the size of your finger (in cm, mm or inches – just tell me which form of measurement you have used) AND and the size of the ring stated within the description to ensure that it will fit you.

Due to the fact that your ring is a custom design – i.e. made to your size – I cannot refund your purchase if you give me the wrong size or simply change your mind.

This is in accordance with New Zealand Consumer Law. It is your responsibility to give me the correct size.

For all rings that are not adjustable, I will need to re-create your ring from scratch, which means you would need to purchase a new ring. So, please make sure to take the time to work out your exact size.

Most local jewellers’ shops will happily size your finger for you at no charge.

Please note, your fingers can swell and shrink depending on the time of day. If you’re unsure at all, err on the side of going too big rather than too small.

Alterations or Repairs to Other Jewellery

I offer a Repair Service for some other types of jewellery. As this is an extra service, I do charge for this. I will discuss your requirements and give you a quote for the job, which if accepted, must be paid for (via PayPal or online banking) before I start the work.

For all the info you need to know on ring and other jewellery sizing – please visit this page.

I am happy to take both bank deposits (only available to New Zealanders) and cash payments on pick up (only available to Aucklanders).

However, you will need to contact me directly with your requirements, rather than ordering through the online shop.

GST is included in the price of all purchases from New Zealand.

If you are outside of New Zealand, GST and other sales taxes are automatically not applied to your order.

You may be subject to local customs and import duties if your order is being sent outside of New Zealand.

This is the responsibility of the customer to determine as each country is different.

Visit the shipping page to learn more about these issues.

Returns & Exchanges:

Your happiness is guaranteed: if your purchase is unsuitable for any reason, you can return it for a refund within 30 days of delivery. Learn more about my guarantees.

Otherwise if your purchase is faulty, was damaged during delivery or if I made an error, you can also organise a general return or exchange.

Pricing:

Pricing of items for sale and shipping costs may change at any time without notice.

Fraud Detection:

Occasionally orders are identified by my shopping cart as potentially fraudulent.

If this is the case I am required to contact you to verify the last four digits of the credit card used and to obtain photo ID which matches the name on the credit card. If you are not willing or able to assist me, I will need to cancel your order and refund the payment.

On rare occasions I may simply cancel and refund highly suspicious orders without further research.

Refusal of Sale:

While it’s extremely unlikely to occur, Curlicue NZ Jewellery reserves the right to refuse an order for any reason.

Should this happen any payment made will of course be refunded as quickly as possible.
